LUNCH & ART FOR A CAUSE APRIL 12
AT TOLEDO BOTANICAL GARDEN
The Art of Soup Empty Bowls Event To
Benefit Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank
Toledo Botanical Garden will be the setting for a springtime lunch of soup, along with an art exhibition and sale. The Art of Soup, an Empty Bowls event, will be held April 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the garden’s Terrace Room.
For admission of $5.00, guests will receive a bowl of homemade soup and bread – locally-produced by Toledo-area businesses. The Art of Soup will also feature an exhibition and sale of bowls made by Toledo area artists. Additionally, artists at the Toledo Botanical Garden will be open during the event.
The Empty Bowls project has been raising funds to fight hunger since 1990. The art bowls at such events symbolize the empty bowls in the world, and the importance of continuing efforts to alleviate hunger.
