The Gardens
Daylily Collection

The Toledo Botanical Garden Daylily Walk is listed as a national display garden by the American Hemerocallis Society. It is home to a stunning collection of award winning daylilies that represent eleven active award collections and two discontinued awards.

The Black Swamp Hosta and Daylily Society assists with tending these beds, as well as the acquisition of new plants.

The Daylily walk is on the outer edge of the Color Garden and can be viewed either from the main cement walkway or from the grass paths within the Color Garden. Daylilies begin blooming in June, with continued beauty through July and August. A common misconception is that daylilies produce only orange flowers. Visitors will actually find a tremendous variety of bloom colors, shapes, and sizes in the Daylily Walk.
